I too have an eMachine E courtesy of Woot! That’s the one you want. Being lazy, I told it to keep the password. I finally found emcahine reference to some drivers which seemed reliable, in the sense that they were in default repositiories accessible through apt-get.
Unless I am doing something really stupid It doesn’t see it. Now it’s up to you to connect to them.
